Build Your Own AI Consultation Agent with Skills
If you have connected ChatGPT or Claude Desktop to TalkBridge, you can now use Skills to build a Bridge skill tailored to your business and run consultations with it.
This guide assumes a consultation channel is already connected (consultations are flowing through Kakao SangdamTalk (Kakao's customer-consultation chat), Discord, or similar) and focuses on running AI consultations. If you haven't connected yet, start with Connect to an AI App.
What is a skill? (in plain terms)
A skill is a "one-page work manual" you hand to the AI.
Just as you would hand a service manual to a new employee, you write down for the AI, "this is how we handle consultations at our store." The format is simply a written document (a Markdown file, SKILL.md), so no coding is required at all.
- Write once, use forever — you don't need to give long instructions every time; whenever a consultation comes up, the AI follows the manual on its own.
- An open standard — skills follow a public standard (Agent Skills), so both Claude Desktop and ChatGPT can use the same file.
- Combined with TalkBridge — the AI decides according to the manual (skill) and then uses TalkBridge tools to actually look things up and send messages.
What the AI actually does with a skill
Through the TalkBridge connection (MCP), the AI can use the tools below. The skill's role is to define when, and by what criteria, those tools are used.
| What the AI can do | Example instruction |
|---|---|
| View the list of active consultations | "Show me the customers I'm consulting with right now" |
| Read a customer's recent messages | "Show me what this customer said" |
| Send a reply (text or button-style rich message) | "Send a polite reply" |
| End a consultation (optionally with a closing greeting) | "Thank them and end the consultation" |
| Hand over to the bot after ending a consultation | "Hand this over to the bot scenario" |
| Block / unblock a customer | "Block this customer" |
| Check my brand list | "Tell me my brands" |
Getting started — creating a skill in each app
The easiest way: ask the AI to build it
In both apps, asking the AI directly is the easiest way. Paste the sentence below as-is.
"Create a consultation skill for me. We are a ○○ (industry), always use polite language, tell customers that refunds take 3–5 business days, and never negotiate on price. Build it as rules for looking up consultations and replying with TalkBridge tools."
The AI will ask follow-up questions, create the skill file, and walk you through installing it. You can also copy one of the recommended skill templates further down this page and say "create a skill with this content."
In Claude Desktop
- Go to Settings → Capabilities → Skills.
- Create a skill — ask in chat, "create a skill with this content," or upload a skill folder (or zip) you have prepared.
- Once the skill is enabled, you're done — in later consultation-related conversations, Claude finds and applies the skill on its own.
In ChatGPT
- Go to Skills → Create in the sidebar.
- Choose Create with chat or Upload. You can also simply say "create a skill" in chat.
- After installation, it is applied automatically in consultation conversations.
Availability of personal skills in ChatGPT depends on your plan (mainly Business, Enterprise, and Edu). If you don't see the Skills menu, paste the template content below into the Instructions of a Project — it has the same effect. Claude supports skills on paid plans.
Recommended Bridge skill templates
The three below are recommended skills composed only of what actually works with TalkBridge tools. Copy one as-is and hand it to the AI with "create a skill with this content." Change only the ○○ parts to fit your business.
① Consultation response skill — reply in your store's tone
---
name: cs-responder
description: Replies to customer consultation inquiries in our brand's tone and according to our rules. Use for consultation responses, replies, and inquiry-handling requests.
---
# Consultation response rules
## Response procedure
1. Identify the target customer in the list of active consultations.
2. Read that customer's recent messages first and understand the intent of the inquiry.
3. Write a reply that follows the tone and rules below.
4. Before sending, show the draft reply and get confirmation, then send.
## Tone
- Always polite language; open the first sentence with empathy ("We're sorry for the inconvenience," etc.)
- Keep sentences short; no more than 3 sentences per reply
## Our rules (replace the ○○ parts)
- Refunds: tell the customer it takes 3–5 business days after the request is received
- Price inquiries: quote list prices only; no discount negotiation
- Business hours: ○○ to ○○; for inquiries outside those hours, promise "we'll follow up tomorrow in order"
- Inquiries you can't answer: don't guess; reply "we'll check and get back to you," then report to me
## Prohibited
- Never ask for personal information (phone number, address)
- Never promise compensation that hasn't been confirmed
② Consultation closing skill — closing greeting and wrap-up
---
name: cs-closing
description: Ends a consultation with a closing greeting and, if needed, hands over to the bot scenario. Use for requests to end or close a consultation.
---
# Consultation closing rules
1. Before ending, check the customer's last message to make sure no inquiry is left unresolved.
- If there is an unresolved inquiry, do not end the consultation; notify me instead.
2. End the consultation with a closing greeting.
- Default greeting: "Thank you for contacting us. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask anytime :)"
3. If the consultation ended with a repetitive inquiry (business hours, location, etc.), hand over to the bot scenario after ending.
4. For abusive or spam customers, block them after getting my confirmation.
③ Consultation briefing skill — today's consultations at a glance
---
name: cs-daily-brief
description: Scans active consultations and produces a summary briefing. Use for requests like "summarize today's consultations" or "briefing."
---
# Consultation briefing rules
1. Fetch the list of active consultation rooms, newest first.
2. Read each customer's recent messages and organize them in the following format:
- Customer / gist of the inquiry (1 line) / status (awaiting reply · in progress) / recommended next action
3. Move customers who have been waiting longest for a reply to the top.
4. The briefing is report-only — do not send anything from this skill.
Skill + memory = an agent that gets smarter the more you use it
ChatGPT and Claude have a memory feature. Combined with a skill, the AI gets to know your business better with every consultation.
- Correct it during consultations — "From now on, say refunds take 7 business days. Remember this."
- Leave newly learned facts — "Our new product ○○ launches next week. If anyone asks, tell them that. Remember it."
- From the next consultation on, the AI responds with that memory applied. Rules that have settled can be moved into the skill file to keep them permanently.
Skill = the work manual that doesn't change, memory = field notes learned along the way — this combination is the core of an "AI consultation agent that gets smarter the more you run it."
Operating tips
- Start in confirmation mode — as in template ①, include "show me the draft before sending," and switch to sending directly once trust has built up.
- Replies go only to active consultations — for Kakao consultations, replies are delivered only to sessions in progress. A customer whose consultation has ended can be served only when a new inquiry comes in.
- One skill, one job — splitting into response, closing, and briefing keeps the AI from getting confused.
- If you have several brands — add a line like "always use the ○○ brand" to the skill, or mention the brand name when giving instructions.
