Connect AI Tools

Connect TalkBridge to the AI app you already use, and you can ask about consultations and get answers right away. The Connect AI Tools screen in TalkBridge Center is where you pick up the one value needed for that connection.

Screen layout

In the toolbar at the top of the screen, choose a tool (Claude · ChatGPT) and a method (MCP · CLI); the one-line guidance and the one-line value to copy in the body below change to match that combination.

MethodValue to copyWhen
MCPConnector addressWhen you want to handle your channels and consultations by chatting in an AI app. Paste the address and just log in to connect — no need to create a key separately
CLIA one-line install + login commandWhen you handle outbound messages, consultation history, and channel settings from a terminal, scripts, or automation. Works with a secret key (or login pairing)

The two methods are alternatives, not a sequence. The same criteria are written under "Which should I connect, MCP or CLI?" at the bottom of the screen.

MCP — where to paste the connector address

The address is the same regardless of the tool; only the path to the place where you paste it differs.

ToolPath
ClaudeClaude Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector
ChatGPTChatGPT Settings → Connectors → Create → MCP server

The [Open connectors] button next to each tool takes you straight to that settings screen.

ChatGPT has prerequisites

ChatGPT's custom connectors require Developer mode to be turned on under Settings → Security, and are available only on the Plus, Pro, and Team plans. Claude can be added with no extra conditions.

After pasting the address, log in with your TalkBridge Center account in the login window the AI app opens, and the connection is complete. There's no need to issue or paste a secret key.

CLI — from the terminal

With the CLI method, copy the install command and run it in your terminal. For installation and login, follow CLI Installation and Setup & Login.

Once connected

This screen does not check whether the connection actually succeeded. Say something like "show me my brand list" in the AI app; if the tool responds, you're connected.
